PORTRAIT: PENELOPE ONE YEAR

This family session was at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, a favorite spot in the spring and fall. The cherry blossoms were about gone but they had plenty of other awesome trees and flowers in bloom and the weather made for a perfect day to be outside and photographing.

ENGAGEMENT: MEGAN & BRIAN

I met Megan and Brian for a classic engagement session first thing in the morning, before the tourists had even begun waking up. I loved photographing this stylish and relaxed couple! And I'm looking forward to their fall wedding in West Virginia—I've never seen fall colors quite like the ones in WV. It will definitely be an awesome party with Brian's sister, DJ Lauren Bobby on the turntables.

PORTRAIT: BABY ZANNA CAKE SMASH

I love this idea! You take a one-year-old, set them down in front of a cake, and then photograph whatever happens. I wish my parents had thought of this! Zanna had a great time diving into this cake and even had some help from her big sister.
